Terms of Service

Doestep is a community platform for proving what AI workflows actually still work. Authors publish playbooks (structured, testable specs for an AI workflow), and Doesteppers file reproduction reports recording what happened when they ran a specific version on a specific model. Freshness badges and reputation are computed from those reports. They are evidence, not our editorial opinion.

You sign in with GitHub. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your GitHub account secure. One account represents one person. Don’t share accounts or create accounts on behalf of others without authorization. You must be at least 16 to use Doestep.

When you publish a playbook or file a report, you’re creating user-generated content. You’re responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. Don’t submit content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious (for example, instructions designed to cause harm), or that contains someone else’s confidential information.

You acknowledge and agree that a reproduction report, once submitted, is permanent and public. Reports are append-only by design: they are never edited or deleted, because every badge must be auditable back to the evidence behind it. Corrections are made by filing a new report, not by changing an old one. If you delete your account, your reports are anonymized rather than removed (see the Privacy Policy). Don’t put anything into a report that you aren’t willing to make part of a permanent public record.

Doestep only works if verification can’t be gamed. You agree not to:

• File fake, fabricated, or untested reports, or report a result you didn’t actually observe.
• Game or manipulate the verification system, for example through coordinated report rings, sockpuppet or bulk accounts, or colluding to inflate a playbook’s or person’s standing.
• Verify your own playbooks (authors can’t verify their own work: it’s enforced, not an oversight).
• Impersonate another person, Doestepper, or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at abusive rates, or reverse the integrity controls of the service.

You retain all rights to the playbooks you author. We don’t claim ownership of your content. To run Doestep, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute the content you submit for the purpose of operating and promoting the service, for example showing your public playbook, attributing it to you, and including its reproduction data in aggregate reports like “The State of What Works.” This license ends when you remove the content, except where it has already been relied upon as public evidence (see Section 4).

Doestep is provided “as is.” A badge reflects reports from the community, not an official certification, endorsement, or warranty by us. We do not guarantee that any playbook is accurate, safe, complete, or fit for your purpose, or that following one will produce the same result for you. Models change, inputs differ, and that is the entire reason Doestep exists. You are responsible for evaluating any playbook before you rely on it, and for the costs (including model or tool usage) you incur running one.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doestep and Intellopia are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of a playbook, a reproduction result, or the service itself. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which, during the free phase, is zero.

You can stop using Doestep and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms or the trust rules that keep verification un-gameable, including fake-report rings, coordinated manipulation, impersonation, or abuse. Because the report log is append-only public evidence, removing an account anonymizes its contributions rather than erasing the record (see Section 4 and the Privacy Policy).

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You agree that the courts of Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Doestep, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update the service and these terms as Doestep evolves. If we make material changes to the terms, we’ll update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify signed-in users. Continuing to use Doestep after a change means you accept the updated terms.
